More than a bakery. More than a bistro.
66 Sheep Street was created with one simple ambition: to bring people together over exceptional food, genuine Yorkshire hospitality and a space that feels as welcoming on your first visit as it does on your fiftieth.
From fresh pastries and morning coffee to relaxed dinners, Sunday roasts and celebrations with friends, 66 is a place to gather, unwind and make memories – morning, noon and night.
Our Story
Built with passion.
What began as an empty space has been transformed through months of hard work, determination and an enormous amount of care.
From the first few months before opening, Tom and the team have poured countless hours into bringing 66 Sheep Street to life. From new flooring and thoughtfully designed interiors to a completely renovated bakery and kitchen downstairs, every detail has been carefully considered to create a place that feels warm, welcoming and unmistakably 66.
The result is somewhere designed to become part of everyday life in Skipton – a place to meet, celebrate and return to time and time again.
Bakery by day
Mornings begin here.
Before most of Skipton is awake, our bakery is already hard at work.
Pastries are baked fresh each morning and the coffee is ready before the doors open. Whether you’re grabbing breakfast through the hatch or settling in for brunch, every day begins with the same attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Bistro by night
As the day changes, so do we.
From Thursday through to Saturday, our evenings take on a different rhythm.
The lights soften, candles are lit and the bakery transforms into a relaxed neighbourhood bistro serving seasonal dishes, carefully chosen wines and cocktails.
It’s the same warm welcome, just with a different atmosphere.
It's the little things that matter.

Great Food
Thoughtfully prepared using quality ingredients, honest cooking and plenty of care.

Genuine Hospitality
We want everyone who walks through our doors to feel welcome, relaxed and looked after – from your first coffee to your last cocktail.

A Place to Gather
Whether you're catching up with friends, celebrating with family or simply enjoying a quiet coffee, we hope 66 becomes somewhere you love returning to.
Meet Tom
The vision behind 66.
After years spent working in some of Yorkshire’s most respected kitchens – and reaching the MasterChef final – Tom always dreamed of creating a place that reflected the way he loves to cook and welcome people.
66 Sheep Street brings those ideas together. A bakery you’ll visit throughout the week. A bistro you’ll return to for celebrations. A place where quality never feels intimidating and great hospitality always comes first.

Outside the kitchen, you’ll usually find her training for CrossFit and Hyrox, walking the hills with her German Pointer, Bella, or heading off in her campervan.

Gorgeous food, service, cocktails and atmosphere. We ate as a group of four and had various dishes; chorizo, prawns, lamb rump, lasagne, cheeseburger, mini ceaser, tear and share garlic bread and desserts. All stunning ✨![]()

American and former organic, farm to table, cafe owner staying the week at Broughton Sanctuary where someone on site suggested 66 Sheep St. Wow. I will try to put into words the magnitude of this experience; After a week long retreat, my husband and I had a round of English breakfast tea with FOUR pastries. The music was intentional, the ambiance was thoughtful and the food was absolutely iconic. The French onion cheese roll and the steak bake were so good we went back for another round to take home. My husband was cooing over the creamy, herbed texture of the sausage roll and I almost wept at the perfect texture and flavor of the biscoff croissant. A little corner table with our books and double cream in our tea led to a rich, lovely and memorable experience. So much so that it was my top favorite memory from the week. The care that is carried on the back of this spaces creator earns a million gold stars and a special space in my heart. Bravo Skipton!![]()

We've sampled both the hatch on an opening weekend - lovely coffee, brownies and sausage rolls. But just been in for dinner for two, lovely atmosphere and decor, very relaxing, the menu is really unique and varied, something for everyone. We had the lobster Mac n cheese, fries, lasagna, sticky toffee and white choc/raspberry/ginger cookie ice cream. All very nice and would definitely recommend.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
